DUENNA
DUENNA SOLVES THE PROBLEM
that women face when it comes to traveling, going out, or just living life safely without jeopardizing their freedom from living in fear. This app will solve the problem by utilizing geofencing, using new solar power technology as well as monitoring biomarkers.
Getting Started
The beginning phase of this project launched a full dive into wire framing a rough draft of how the app would look and function; as well as beginning to ideate the logo and brand.
PROCESS
A sitemap, process flow, card sort and style guide were all used while concepting how Duenna would look and function. The aim of Duenna’s function was to provide quick, uninhibited access to help anywhere through an alert system that can be triggered automatically or manually.
SCREENS
Duenna has a target demographic of women and gender minorities. The aesthetic of the application is clean, friendly and simple for easy and efficient use. The user should have no confusion or trouble accessing help when needed and Duenna is here to fulfill that need.
Wearable Product
The wearable product that connects to the application looks like an unassuming hair tie. This is in place to monitor biomarkers and location incase the user cannot reach or have access to a mobile device to call for help, whatever the situation may be. The reason for the wearable to look like a hair tie is not only out of convenience as the user can utilize it as a normal scrunchie, but also if there is an attacker looking to remove any means of communication, they will not think to remove a common item such as a hair tie. This will give the user a better chance of receiving help as the biomarkers will be triggered and an exact GPS location and tracker will be sent with an SOS to law enforcement and the users inner circle.
